Prayer and Communion Kneelers
|
On September 13, 1987 which was the 105th Anniversary of the founding of this church here in Del Rio, these kneelers were presented to this church. It was during the Pastorate of Carl W. Rolfs.
The needlepoint kneelers were designed by Betty Smith's Needlework Creations who had designed kneelers for numerous churches in Texas. Some of the United Methodist Churches in this Conference she has designed kneelers for are: Uvalde, San Marcos, First and Northwest Hills in Austin and well as First United Methodist in Victoria, Texas . They were given by: Bobby and Alice Cauthorn Bill and Kay Cauthorn In Memory of : Mr. and Mrs Robert Cauthorn,Sr. and Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Overstreet The Trinity Cushion was given by : Warren and Paula Ann Johnson in Memory of: Mr. and Mrs. W.P. Wallace Many women from this church lovingly prepared each of them by hand, taking many hours for each one. |
