Our church is part of the larger United Methodist Church of the United States. We are a connectional church in that we are all connected together with each other. Our mission and vision are the same as one from clear across from another part of the country.
But what makes First United Methodist Church of Del Rio, Texas different from any other church?
From the moment you walk up the steps or take the elevator located on the east side of the sanctuary, you will be warmly welcomed by our friendly greeters. That is just the beginning, as You will find that good ole West Texas welcome, and hospitality continues on throughout our worship hour. You will know that you have now found your home away from home in our Christ centered environment of believers of the risen Lord .
Come in your "Sunday Best", or in your jeans. God does not look at what you are wearing but looks at what is in your heart.
Our worship times are at 8:30 for the "traditional" style service and 11:00 for the more "contemporary" service.
Sunday School is in between each service at 9:45.
The UMYF or United Methodist Youth Fellowship meets at 4 PM on Sunday afternoons. They also are actively involved in mission work not only in the local area, but also by serving others through out Texas.
